Quality, Environment and Safety Policy

Taking into account the activities carried out in the area of specialized civil construction, namely refractory, SMIR - Refractory Supervision, Assembly and Isolation, Unip. Lda., undertakes to maintain, periodically review, and continuously improve the Quality and Safety Policy as well as the Management System and its effectiveness. SMIR is also committed to provide safety conditions for his workers. Safety it’s a great conviction and one of the strong values of our company, each one is an actor and responsible for their own safety and their colleagues as well.

The Administration is commited to:

Comply with the requirements of the standards NP EN ISO 9001:2015, NP EN ISO 45001:2018, as well as law, regulations and others legal requirements that the organisation subscribe, taking into account the respect for Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work and environment;

Define, plan and monitor coherent objectives with this Policy and with strategies lines defined by Administration of SMIR, through reviews to the same.

Assess, promote and continuously ensure the satisfaction of clients, employees, as well as the relationship with all the entities involved in the organization’s production process;

Recognize that, within the scope of its activities, has the responsibility to promote the efficient use of raw materials, energy and natural resources through their proper management in order to reduce the significant impacts on the Environment;

Seek to eliminate, decrease and control environment pollution in order to reduce environmental impacts from activities developed by the organisation;

Be committed in the prevention of corporal’s injuries, professionals and occupational diseases as well as promotion of risk reduction more commons on activities developed by the organisation;

Involve and promote the participation of all employees to identify and evaluate the risks, as well as on the identification of improvements in order to guarantee their commitment with this Policy, making them responsible of the prevention, improvement of the quality of life and of the environment protection;

Promote and foster the motivation and participation from all employees in the assumed objectives by the organisation through training, awareness, skills certification, team work promotion and know-how.

Involve every employee on the participation and consultation in the area of Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work;

Promote one efficient and integrate management of the means, the departments and theirs participating in order to ensure an efficient response to market demands, customer satisfaction;

Promote the continuous improvement of the Management System, evaluating its performance, ensuring that it is documented, maintained and disclosed, involving all the employees.

The administration wants that SMIR becomes a reference in the market, based on organizational process aimed at the satisfaction of its costumers and employees, meeting their needs and expectations, as well as sustainable management systems.
